RTW Bowls Tournament
Conditions of Play
1. Eligibility
The Tournament is open to all bona fide amateur players aged 14 years and over.
All competitors must use bowls that comply with current E.B.A. Laws. Bowls may be examined by the appointed Markers or Umpires prior to the commencement of play.
2. Tournament Schedule
Match times, formats and limits of play will be published in the official Tournament Programme under the Conditions of Play section.
Competitors are responsible for knowing their scheduled start times.
3. Punctuality
Any player or team arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time will be disqualified from that event.
4. Substitutions
Substitutes are permitted in accordance with competition rules; however, a substitute may not play as Skip.
5. Singles Competition

Matches will be played to 21 shots.

The First Round and all subsequent rounds (excluding Semi-Finals and Final) will be limited to 2 hours 15 minutes.

The winner shall be:

The first player to reach 21 shots; or
-
If the time limit is reached, the player with the greater number of shots.

If scores are level when time expires, one additional deciding end will be played.

Semi-Finals and Finals will be played without a time restriction unless otherwise stated.
6. Pairs Competition
-
Matches will consist of 18 ends.

All rounds (excluding Semi-Finals and Final) will be limited to 3 hours.

If the time limit is reached, the side with the greater number of shots will be declared the winner.

If scores are level at the expiry of time, one additional deciding end will be played.
Semi-Finals and Finals will be played without a time restriction unless otherwise stated.
7. Triples Competition
-
Matches will consist of 18 ends.
-
Triples matches will be played with no time limit unless otherwise stated.
8. Time Warnings
Stewards in charge of the Greens will issue a 10-minute warning to players who are approaching the time limits stated above.
9. Discipline & Weather
Any issues relating to discipline, conduct, or adverse weather conditions will be dealt with by the Tournament Committee, whose decision shall be final.
10. Finals Day Presentations (Important)
All finalists and runners-up must remain on site and be available for the official presentations on Finals Day.
The presentation ceremony is an integral part of the tournament and provides essential recognition for both competitors and sponsors. Players reaching the final stages are expected to remain present until the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
**Any finalist or runner-up who does not attend the Finals Day presentation will not be eligible to receive prize money.
